Q. How do you charge for medical billing services?
A. Our fees are based on a percentage of payments collected,
and are all-inclusive — we have no hidden fees.
Any of our optional services are selected at your discretion and a
firm quote is supplied and must be approved before any work takes place.
Q. Can you really save us money?
A. Each individual practice is unique, but in most cases
we've been able to save our clients more than enough to cover the cost
of our services. Of course, you will also realize additional benefits
by saving on employee costs, phone bills, etc. The truth is - we really
do CARE about your bottom line!
Q. Are you HIPAA compliant?
A. Absolutely. Claims of Integrity LLC is fully compliant with HIPAA
requirements and standards and with OIG compliance rules as well. We take
this responsibility very seriously.
Q. Where do the checks go?
A. You may opt to have your checks go through a separate account that
we reconcile for you, or have them sent directly to your practice or to
a designated lock box account. All we need is a copy (or original, if
you prefer) of the EOB to properly credit patient accounts.
Q. I’m not located in your area. How would I submit my information
to you?
A. We cover all postage or courier costs, and will setup whatever
arrangement is most effective depending on where you are located. For
hospital-based providers, we can also often setup secure access through
your hospital IT department. There are no additional fees involved for
any of our setup costs.
Q. What kind of information do you need from my practice?
A. We will work closely with you and your staff to ensure the most
efficient means of supplying the information is put into place. This may
involve designing a user-friendly superbill or using an existing one if
preferred. We will also find the most effective method of receiving patient
demographic and insurance information.
Q. I would like to be able to access my practice data online. Can I have
secure access to the data?
A. Yes. Our system can be setup on a computer in your office so you
may access information and even run reports and patient ledgers.
Q. Who does the patient call with a billing question?
A. Our toll-free number is printed on your patients’ statements.
We handle all calls with professionalism, respect, and the best possible
service.
Q. How do you make sure contracted plans pay us accordingly?
A. We are as concerned about proper reimbursement as you are. As part
of our initial setup with your practice, we will request copies of any
existing contracts and fee schedules. These will be loaded into our system
and monitored as payments are received. In the event of improper payment,
we will follow-up with the insurance company and also keep you abreast
of any issues that may arise.
Q. What kind of reports will I get?
A. There are a variety of reports available. Appropriate reports based
on your specific needs will be determined during initial account setup.
Additional reports may be requested at any time - we always do our best
to accommodate each client's reporting needs.
Q. Are you a collection agency?
A. No. Claims of Integrity LLC provides billing and follow-up services.
We do pursue delinquent insurance claims until they are paid or otherwise
resolved. For patient billing, we send a minimum of three statements,
followed by a letter requesting prompt payment. If we receive no response,
we can forward the account to a licensed collection agency at your discretion.
Claims of Integrity LLC works with several quality collection agencies
specializing in medical collections.
Q. What if the patient is on a payment plan?
A. Claims of Integrity LLC will honor that plan and send as many statements
as it takes to get the balance paid as long as there is patient activity
on the account.
